  • Please, note that students who are admitted to the SOCIE will be assigned to one of two departments (CSE and ICE) by the regulation of IUT after completing the first year of the education program at IUT.
  • Among Pre-University students who take the final examination, 116 students (up to 40% of 290) for SOCIE and 48 students (up to 40% of 120) for SOL can be admitted.

          2. Eligibility for the 2019-2020 Admission 

          2.1 IUT Entrance Examination

  • Domestic or foreign lyceum, college or high school graduates or graduates-to-be in the first half of the year 2019.
  • Applicants who passed the English Proficiency Requirements.

  • For those students who pass the 1st entrance exam should submit either IELTS or TOEFL iBT certificate by June 14th (Friday), 2019 which is issued between June 14th, 2017 and June 14th, 2019. Please note that there is no extension to the submission due date.
  • For those students who pass the 2nd entrance exam should submit either IELTS or TOEFL iBT certificate by July 24th (Wednesday), 2019 which is issued between July 24th, 2017 and July 24th, 2019 on condition that they complete the registration and pay the tuition by June 28th (Friday), 2019. Please note that there is no extension to the submission due date.
  • For those students who pass the 3rd entrance exam should submit either IELTS or TOEFL iBT certificate by July 24rd (Wednesday), 2019 which is issued between July 24th, 2017 and July 24th, 2019. Please note that there is no extension to the submission due date.

2.2 Pre-University Final Examination

  • Pre-University students who complete the Pre-University program at least one year or longer.
  • Domestic or foreign lyceum, college or high school graduates or students currently enrolled.
  • Applicants who passed the English Proficiency Requirements

          3. Entrance Exam for the 2019-2020 Admission 

          3.1 IUT Entrance Examination

  • IUT Entrance exam will be offered three times unless the quota is filled.

  • The students are required to apply for either SOCIE or SOL, not both.
  • For SOCIE program, there are two different admission selection tracks: contract-based and scholarship-based admission. In the 2019-2020 academic year, 290 students will be selected on contract-based admission and ten students on scholarship-based admission.
  • In the exams, OMR cards will be used for marking the answers.
  • Type of Examination: Written test and multiple choice for all examination subjects
  • Examination Subjects 
    • SOCIE: Mathematics (60 min, 20 questions) and Physics (60 min, 20 questions)
    • SOL: Mathematics (60 min, 20 questions)
    • The math exam questions for SOCIE and SOL are different from each other.
    • The difficulty level of the math exam for SOL will be eased this year.
    • There is no penalty point to the incorrect answers in the exams.

  • Based on the exam scores, successful candidates will be selected up to the enrollment quota.
  • In case of a tie in the exam passing scores, all the students of tie scores will be announced as successful candidates.
  • The 2nd and 3rd entrance exams shall be held in case there is unfilled quota left.

  • The students apply for either SOCIE or SOL on the contract-based admission only.
  • The pre-University students are also allowed to take the 1st entrance examination.

       SOL       Date: April 28th (Sunday), 2019
                     Time: 16:40am – 17:40am
  • The successful candidates will be announced on May 10th, 2019 on the university website.
  • The successful candidates must complete their registration by 5:00 pm on May 29th, 2019; otherwise, the qualification of successful candidates will be no longer valid and canceled.

(2) 2nd Entrance Exam (Contract-based and Scholarship-based Admission for SOCIE & Contract-based Admission for SOL)

  • The students apply for SOL on the contract-based admission.
  • The students apply for SOCIE on either the contract-based admission or the scholarship-based admission, not both.
  • The students are allowed to apply for either SOCIE or Sol, not both.
  • The students who failed the 1st entrance examination are allowed to take the 2nd entrance exam.
  • The students who passed the 1st entrance examination of SOCIE program are allowed to take the 2nd entrance exam of SOCIE program on scholarship-based admission.
  • The failure to pass the 2nd entrance exam has no effect on the successful passing of the 1st entrance exam, but the students who passed the 1st entrance exam should complete the registration by the due date, May 29th, 2019.

  • The successful candidates must complete their registration by 5:00 pm on June 28th, 2019; otherwise, the qualification of successful candidates will be no longer valid and canceled.
  • Only top 10 students who apply for scholarship-based admission for SOCIE will be selected based on the exam scores, and the list of the successful candidates will be announced on June 19th, 2019 on the university website. In case of a tie in the exam scores, the priority of selecting scholarship students will be given to the following order:
    •   high score in math exam,
    •   high score in official English proficiency test
    •   younger in age (late birthday).
  • Those ten selected students who have confirmed to accept the scholarship must complete their registration by 5:00 pm on June 28th, 2019, otherwise, the qualification of scholarship candidates will be no longer valid and canceled.
  • In case there are any students who have declined the scholarship, the scholarship candidates will be selected and announced in the order of the scores of the exam.

(3) 3rd Entrance Exam (Contract-based Admission only)

  • The students apply for either SOCIE or SOL on the contract-based admission only.
  • The students who failed the 1st and 2nd entrance examination are allowed to take the 3rd entrance exam.
  • The students who failed the 1st and 2nd entrance examination are allowed to take the 3rd entrance exam.

  • Exam Dates and Time
       SOCIE    Date: July 11th (Thursday), 2019
                      Time: 09:00am – 12:00pm (1st group),  12:00pm – 03:00pm (2nd group)
       SOL        Date: July 12th (Friday), 2019
                      Time: 10:00am – 11:00am
  • The successful candidates will be announced on July 26th, 2019 on the university website.
  • The successful candidates must complete their registration by 5:00 pm on August 9th, 2019; otherwise, the qualification of successful candidates will be no longer valid and canceled.
  • In case that the enrollment quota is not filled after August 9th, 2019, there will be additional successful candidates announced on August 14th, 2019 and those additional successful candidates should complete their registration by August 26th, 2019, otherwise, they will not be admitted to the university.
  • PLEASE be informed and advised that if the enrollment quota is filled after the 2nd entrance exam, the 3rd entrance exam will not be held this year.

          3.3 International Student Special Admission

(1) Early Admission

  • The students apply for either SOCIE or SOL, not both.
  • The application deadline for early admission is May 27th (Monday), 2019.
  • All the required documents listed in Section 4 should be uploaded onto the online application site by the application deadline on May 27th (Monday), 2019.
  • Three additional documents; (1) Personal Statement, (2) Plan of Study and (3) one recommendation letter should be uploaded onto online application site of the university, http://foreign-admissions.inha.uz by the application deadline.
  • Each applicant shall be informed of the interview date and time after completion of the online admission application.
  • The decision on early admission will be made upon completion of an in-depth interview only. The early admission certificate, which is valid only for the admission of the 2019-2020 academic year, will be issued immediately after the in-depth interview until June 7th (Friday), 2019.
  • For those students who are early admitted should submit either IELTS or TOEFL iBT certificate by August 2nd (Friday), 2019, otherwise, early admission will not be valid and disqualified.
  • The early admitted students must complete their registration by 5:00pm on August 9th, 2019, otherwise, the qualification of early admission will be no longer valid and canceled.

  • Those admitted students must complete their registration by 5:00pm on August 9th, 2019, otherwise, the qualification of regular admission will be no longer valid and canceled.

           4. Application Procedure and Required Documents

  • Please note that students are not allowed to apply for both SOCIE and SOL together.
  • All domestic and international students (foreign passport holder) must visit the online application site (https://inha.uz/en/howtoapply) to complete the IUT admission application and upload all required documents listed below. Any application form and documents through email will not be accepted. All scanned documents required for the admission decision should be submitted and uploaded through the IUT online application site.

    • Copy of passport or residence permit
    • Copy of Diploma from lyceum/college/high school or verification certificate including enrollment certificate from lyceum/college/high school
    • Copy of transcript from lyceum/college/high school
    • Electronic photo taken within last 3 months – 3.5 cm ×4.5 cm
    • Copy of Medical Certificate - 086  or equivalent
    • Official English proficiency test certificate (IELTS/ TOEFL iBT)
  • All of the required documents listed above, especially the official English proficiency test certificate, must be submitted and uploaded through the IUT online application site by the deadline
  • PLEASE be informed that if the submitted documents, especially official English proficiency test certificate, are intentionally fabricated or forged, a criminal complaint will be filed against the applicants.

 

          5. Tuition

  • Please note that tuition for domestic students (Citizens of Uzbekistan) shall be paid in Sums (Uzbek currency) and international students (foreign passport holder) in US Dollars.

  • The students who pass the 1st entrance exam are allowed to take the 2nd entrance exam, but they must complete their registration by the due date; otherwise, the qualification for the successful candidates will be no longer valid and canceled.
  • The Pre-U students are allowed to take the 1st entrance exam.
  • The Pre-U students who are applying for the SOCIE program are also allowed to take the 2nd entrance exam (Scholarship-base exam) together with the Pre-U final exam.
  • The Pre-U students who are applying for the SOCIE program are also allowed to take the 2nd entrance exam (Scholarship-base exam) even if they passed the 1st entrance exam, but they must complete their registration by the due date, otherwise, the qualification for the successful candidacy for the first entrance exam will be no longer valid and canceled.
  • Please, note that if the enrollment quota is filled early, no further list of any additional successful candidates will be announced and the 3rd entrance exam would not be held.
  • Please further note that in case there will be no 3rd entrance exam held, those students who failed the SOCIE scholarship-based exam can also be included and announced as the successful candidates if they agree to switch to the contract-based admission and their score is higher than the passing score as well.
  • It is also noted that the admission quota may not be completely filled in case the students' score of the entrance exam is lower than the passing score set by Inha University.
