Inha University in Tashkent has been established according to the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan as a result of the cooperation between Inha University of Korea and the government of Uzbekistan with the goal of developing professional, practical, and globally competitive IT leaders. Inha University in Korea is a distinctive leader in higher education for engineering, IT, management, logistics, and Korean studies, among others. The curriculum and academic program for Inha University in Tashkent will be similar to that of Inha University in Korea. With state-of-theart educational and subsidiary facilities, Inha University in Tashkent seeks the highest distinction in IT technology in Central Asia.

Inha University in Korea

Inha University of Korea was established in April of 1954 at the behest of Korea’s first president - Syngman Rhee – to promote engineering technology. The University has firmly established its position as a renowned private higher educational institute, ranked among the top ten universities in Korea. Inha University ranked 68th among Asian universities in the 2012 QS-ChosunUniversity Evaluation. The University seeks to obtain a position as one of the world’s top 100 universities by 2020. Located in Incheon, the logistics center of Northeast Asia, Inha University is supported by globally recognized conglomerate Hanjin. Naturally the University has excelled in the areas of logistics and IT engineering, among other engineering fields. With the Global U8 consortium, the University has formed a borderless campus with distinguished partner universities in the United States, China, France, Japan and other countries. With a secondary campus under construction in the international district of Songdo and active exchange programs, Inha University seeks to become a hub of global research.

Meaning of Inha. Historical fact.

The name “INHA” is an abbreviation made from the combination of “IN” coming from Incheon city in Korea and "Ha" coming from Hawaii (USA), and it symbolizes historical Korean-American collaboration, which led to the creation of an advanced engineering school in 1954 in Korea. Inha University was established mainly with the support of Korean Government, domestic supporters in Korea, and the donations of Korean emigrants living in Hawaii at the time.


Benefits for Pre-University students

Inha University in Tashkent provides following benefits to the students of the Pre-University courses:

  • Students will be exempted from taking the IUT entrance examination if they get 60 points for each subject during the final examination.
  • Only Pre-University students have a second chance to take the entrance examination.
  • First and second year students of colleges and academic lyceums will become the IUT students after a successful completion of their studies.
  • Pre-University students have an opportunity to use the university facilities.
