Main Responsibilities

- Library operation and budget planning

- Book purchases and accounting book management

- Development and subscription of library materials including books, periodicals, e-journals, web databases, eBooks and multimedia contents, etc.

- Database construction and management

- Library strategy planning, library marketing and general affairs

- Planning for academic materials service

- Reference service, customer education and customer service.

- Collection management, book loans and returns

- Planning for Academic Information System

- Purchase, installation, management and maintenance of academic information system

- Management and back-up of academic information database

- Library website and web portal management

Required Skills

- Librarian Certificate

- Ability to establish strategies and library management plans

- Customer-oriented mindset

- Ability to effectively use the reference service

- IT skills for the management of the academic information system

Professional requirements:

  • Ability to improve and develop academic systems
  • Word-processing program skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point etc.) for handling academic data 
  • Good communication skills to make synergy effect with relevant departments and organizations at home and abroad

Requirements for the candidate 
• Bachelor's & Master's degree and minimum 2 year experience in the corresponding field
• Original Degree Certificate as well as Official School Transcript
• Other original certificates and a copy of the work book

• Legally qualified to work in the field of education in Uzbekistan

• Some of the documents submitted will not be returned to the applicants.
• All candidates for employment will be subject to a pre-employment background screening for this position.
• All offers are contingent on the successful completion of a background check.

  • Students will be exempted from taking the IUT entrance examination if they get 60 points for each subject during the final examination.
  • Only Pre-University students have a second chance to take the entrance examination.
  • First and second year students of colleges and academic lyceums will become the IUT students after a successful completion of their studies.
  • Pre-University students have an opportunity to use the university facilities.
