IUT launches mobile application development courses for children
Codecraft project of Inha University in Tashkent kick starts new courses to train children to create their very own mobile applications.
IUT has been providing visual programming courses in Scratch 2 for middle school students since summer 2015. Recently, IUT also introduced Advanced Scratch 2 courses for young people.
The newly launched courses aim to teach children to develop their own Android applications with MIT App Inventor 2.
Farkhad Mousaev, project lead of Codecraft said that 15 students aged between 11 to 14 years are participating in the first pilot course. While teaching children creativity and sense of product ownership we would also like to help our students build valuable knowledge base to learn any other programming languages in the future, Mr. Mousaev added.
