Students of Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) are busy, attending summer schools and educational courses, organized by the university, or work over their new projects despite that it is summer holidays now.

Third-year student of IUT Rano Sobirova participated in the summer school in Latvia, which was organized by Riga International School of Economics and Business and Business administration (RISEBA).

Inha University received an invitation from RISEBA to send students to Summer School of Architecture and Multimedia Arts.

The goal of the summer school is to blend architecture and multimedia arts disciplines together through the prism of the small towns in Kurzeme (Latvia) and rich traditions of the Livonian coast.

Rano Sobirova successfully passed all selection process and received the grant for participation in summer school. Students from Moldovia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Denmark attended the programme as well.

Summer school participants received opportunity to familiarize with architecture and attractions of Latvia, as well as knowledge on architecture and audiovisual arts.

Rano Sobirova said: “During summer school, we visited several cities and settlements of Latvia such as Riga, Jurmala, Mazirbe, Kolka and others. Our final destination was Rojo. We visited the house of famous architecture Zaiga Gaile and learnt main trends in house construction.”

“Besides theoretical lessons, we worked over various projects in groups, which helped me improve my teamwork and English language skills,” she said.

“I received a unique chance to study architecture despite my major is different. Summer school helped me to broaden my vision and gain experience. I also met new people and familiarized with their culture and traditions,” Sobirova noted.

“I would like to express gratitude to management of Inha University in Tashkent for providing opportunity to take part in summer school. I recommend to all students actively participate in contests, courses and summer schools, which will allow them to improve their knowledge and skills,” she concluded.
