IUT student Nodira Khashimova undergoes training in France

Second-year student of Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) Nodira Khashimova paid a visit to France after she won the contest ‘Un mois en France’ (A month in France).

Embassy of France in Uzbekistan organized the contest in cooperation with International French language centers Lions clubs de France in March 2016.

Nodira Khashimova visited France in July. She took part in a month-long French language course, which was organized by French Embassy in Tashkent in association with Lions clubs in France. About 42 students from various countries attended the course. Main part of course was held in the well known city La Baule at the west of France at the ashore of Atlantic ocean.

“First two days we’ve visited Paris, capital of France. Then, the training course began by visiting multiple French cities before to settle down at La Baule,” Nodira Khashimov said.

“Every student represented his own country during the abode. Training course was mainly about the globalization of world and its main difficulties we are facing today notably stereotypes and prejudices,” she said.

“We have received specialists and attended various conferences which always finished by heated debates. In order to have also some fun, we had lots of different activities such as visiting Nantes, the city of robots and engineers where we have witnessed the real progress of the city in this area. We had also several worshops of painting, theater and French culture and tradition. During the abode we had the possibility to accommodate in 5 different French families in order to facilitate the culture exchange,” Nodira underlined. 

“I am very glad to have a chance to represent Uzbekistan in the course and disseminate information about Uzbekistan, our culture, traditions and modernity,” she said.

She added: “After this big experience, I opened my mind about other cultures and I understood that despite of our multiple differences, we have something in common with all young people around the world: we are all hope of tomorrow’s peace and prosperity. I also reaffirmed that the country I come from is a peaceful, safe and a wonderful place and I’m very proud of it!”

Benefits for Pre-University students

Inha University in Tashkent provides following benefits to the students of the Pre-University courses:

  • Students will be exempted from taking the IUT entrance examination if they get 60 points for each subject during the final examination.
  • Only Pre-University students have a second chance to take the entrance examination.
  • First and second year students of colleges and academic lyceums will become the IUT students after a successful completion of their studies.
  • Pre-University students have an opportunity to use the university facilities.
