IUT sets tuition fee for students in national currency
Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) set the tuition fee for students for whole 2017-2018 academic year in national currency.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On priority measures for liberalization of monetary policy” on 2 September 2017. The decree said that prices and tariffs for services, works and goods shall be set in national currency only.
In order to execute presidential decree and create additional convenience for students and their parents, socially support them, IUT administration adopted the decision to set the tuition fee for whole 2017-2018 academic year in national currency from 5 September 2017.
At the same time, unpaid part of the tuition fee for 2017-2018 academic will be paid based on official exchange rate of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, set as of 2 September 2017 ($1 – 4,210.35). The sum of contract, set in national currency, will not change during 2017-2018 academic year independently from future exchange rate of soum to other hard currencies.
As of 2 September 2017, tuition fee for School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE) at Inha University in Tashkent for one academic year was $5,000 and for School of Logistics (SOL) - $5,250. Payments were made in soums (Uzbek national currency) based on the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the day of payment.
