Inha University takes 8 place among South Korea universities

Inha University moved from the 10th to 8th place among 189 universities in the prestigious ranking of South Korean universities, published by Joongang Daily.

This ranking is the most important for South Korean universities compared to all other international ones and they are consistently working on improving their positions in this ranking.

Joongang Daily has been publishing ranking of South Korean universities for last 24 years. Joongang Daily in process of developing ranking assesses such criteria as research, education, employment rate, foundation, etc.

In new ranking of Joongang Daily, Inha University in the Republic of Korea took the eighth place with 182 points. Last year, the university was on 10th place with 177 points.

Since 2014, Inha University in the Republic of Korea has been improving its position in this ranking. The higher educational institution held the 14th place. One year later, it moved to the 13th place and last year to the 10th place.

Inha University in Korea was among or close to top ten universities on the most criteria. For example, Inha University took the third place on criterion “Performance of students” and the sixth place on criteria “Recommended university to recruit personnel” and “Preferred university to enter from high school”.

It should be recalled that Inha University in Korea Republic is introducing its high quality education programmes at Inha University in Tashkent, which was founded on initiative of the First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov in 2014.

Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) currently offers Computer and Information Engineering and Logistic programmes for students from Uzbekistan.

IUT Rector Sarvar Babakhodjaev commented: “On behalf of team of Inha University in Tashkent, I congratulate Inha University in the Republic of Korea with this achievement. The ranking demonstrates that out partners offer higher education and research programmes of the highest quality.”

“Curriculums of IUT are fully based on those of Inha University in Korea. At the same time, Inha University in Korea supervise and control academic operations of IUT to ensure quality of education,” he added.

IUT rector said that foreign and local professors with strong academic background provide knowledge and share their experience with Uzbek students.

Benefits for Pre-University students

Inha University in Tashkent provides following benefits to the students of the Pre-University courses:

  • Students will be exempted from taking the IUT entrance examination if they get 60 points for each subject during the final examination.
  • Only Pre-University students have a second chance to take the entrance examination.
  • First and second year students of colleges and academic lyceums will become the IUT students after a successful completion of their studies.
  • Pre-University students have an opportunity to use the university facilities.
