IUT fourth-year students successfully complete their studies in South Korea
Fourth-year students of Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) have successfully completed their studies in the Republic of Korea and returned back to Uzbekistan.
At the end of June 2017, 99 students of School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE) arrived in Incheon to study at Inha University in the Republic of Korea. They studied within the “3 + 1” program in the Republic of Korea, which envisages that students study three years at Inha University in Tashkent and one year at Inha University in the Republic of Korea.
Students from Uzbekistan obtained knowledge from highly skilled professors of Inha University in the Republic of Korea within two semesters.
During the studies, Administration of Inha University in the Republic of Korea also organized tours for Uzbek students to cultural and touristic sights of South Korea, which will help further enhance the relationship between Uzbekistan and South Korea.
Last week, a solemn ceremony of completion of one-year academic program took place in Incheon. Management of two universities, professors and students attended the ceremony. During the ceremony, students received certificates of completion of the program.
Rector of Inha University in Tashkent Sarvar Babakhodjaev congratulated the graduates of the program and wished success to all students in their new endeavors. All students returned to Uzbekistan on 22 December 2017 and will continue their studies and internship in Tashkent.
Commenting on this event, Sarvar Babakhodjaev noted: “We with our South Korean partners successfully realized the “3+1” program. Our students achieved outstanding results, which pleases us. Now, the students will prepare themselves to their graduation in Tashkent”.
“In summer 2018, the first group of students will graduate Inha University in Tashkent. Some of them will continue their studies in Master’s degree programs and others will start their working career. I hope that they will become top-level personnel for our country.”
“At the same time, we will work with Inha University in the Republic of Korea to improve the curriculum and provide additional opportunities for the young people of Uzbekistan. Our country has announced 2018 as the Year of support of active entrepreneurship, innovative ideas and technologies. Considering that we train experts for one of the most innovative industries, this imposes an additional responsibility to us. The main goal of Inha University in Tashkent is to prepare future leaders of the IT industry, and to achieve this goal we must take into account the requirements of the market and its players”, he added.
“I call local and foreign IT companies to cooperate with Inha University in Tashkent. By developing cooperation, we will achieve our goals,” Sarvar Babakhodjaev said.
