Inha University in Tashkent launches online application for prospective students

Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) has started to accept online applications of prospective students for 2018-2019 academic year from 25 May 2018.

Admission process

Following the same procedure as in previous years, registration for admission to undergraduate courses for the 2018-2019 academic year is fully conducted online.

Prospective students, who want to apply to IUT, should fill in the online registration form on the website of the university, https://admissions.inha.uz. Prospective students can familiarize themselves with the admission requirements at https://www.inha.uz/en/howtoapply.

During the online registration, applicants must provide personal background and send e-copies of documents: passport, photo (3.5x4.5), and if available, copies of diploma of the academic lyceum or professional college/high school, medical certificate form 086, and IELTS or TOEFL IBT certificate.

If the applicants have not yet received their diploma from their secondary school/college or lyceum, they should provide the certificate from their educational institutions.

At the same time,applicants must provide an e-copy of the diploma and the certificate of IELTS or TOEFL IBT by 9 July 2018.

It should be noted that online registration of prospective students will end at 17:00 on 9 July 2018.

English proficiency requirements to the prospective students are the same as previous years: certificate of IELTS or TOEFL iBT with the minimum required score or higher should be provided.

Those prospective students, who do not have any certificates, can participate in IELTS exam session, which is scheduled for 23 June 2018 at the British Council.

Alternatively, prospective students can take TOEFL iBT® exams. The applicants can register to TOEFL iBT exams, which will be held on 2 and 23 June  2018 within the premises of the Inha University in Tashkent.

Applicants can also take part in IDP IELTS exams, scheduled for 2 and 7 June 2018.

Only those prospective students, who submitted IELTS or TOELF iBT certificates with the required minimum or higher score, can participate in the IUT Entrance exams of math and physics for the School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE) and math for the School of Logistics (SOL):

  • Applicants who applied for SOCIE must have IELTS 5.0 or above or TOEFL iBT 50 or above.
  • Applicants who applied for SOL must have IELTS 6.0 or above or TOEFL iBT 75 or above.

Grant- and Contract-based education

There are two separate admission selection tracks for prospective students, applying to the SOCIE: contract-based and scholarship-based admission.

Inha University in Tashkent offers 10 students with Founder’s grant in the direction of School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE). Those applicants, who apply for scholarship-based admission will not be considered as successful candidates for contracted-based admission and vice versa.

Applicants, who have the opportunity to pay the tuition fee, are encouraged to submit their documents for contract-based selection track.

Quota

IUT is planning to accept 420 students in 2018-2019 academic year. In particular, the university will accept 300 students to the SOCIE and 120 students to the SOL.

IUT Entrance Exam

Entrance examinations at Inha University in Tashkent for applicants, who applied to the SOCIE will be held on 19 July 2018 and those, who submitted application to SOL, - on 20 July 2018.

During the entrance exams, the prospective students will answer 20 questions on each subject in written form. 60 minutes will be given for the answers. The exam questions are formed on standard curriculum for secondary education. Total score for SOCIE is calculated by the sum of 60% of mathematics and 40% of physics scores.

On 6 August  2018, Inha University in the Republic of Korea will announce the results of the exams through its online system.

Tuition fee

From 2018-2019 academic year, the tuition fee for Freshman in the direction of the SOCIE set at 28.5 million soums and in the direction of SOL - 30 million soums.

Benefits for Pre-University students

Inha University in Tashkent provides following benefits to the students of the Pre-University courses:

  • Students will be exempted from taking the IUT entrance examination if they get 60 points for each subject during the final examination.
  • Only Pre-University students have a second chance to take the entrance examination.
  • First and second year students of colleges and academic lyceums will become the IUT students after a successful completion of their studies.
  • Pre-University students have an opportunity to use the university facilities.
