Korean delegation visits IUT

On 9 October, Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) hosted a meeting with the Korean delegation headed by the Vice-President of the Inha University in the Republic of Korea Mrs. Hyewook Won.

The acting Rector of Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) Muzaffar Djalalov acquainted the representatives with the university, made a presentation on what changes have occurred since the opening of the IUT in 2014 until now.

During the meeting, the Rector discussed the issues of possibility of opening new faculties and areas of the master's program at Inha University in Tashkent with the Vice-President of Inha University in the Republic of Korea. In particular, to work out the potentials of opening the directions “International Trade”, “Digital Economy”, and “ICT Management”.

After the recent adoption of changes in the legislation of the Republic of Korea, Inha University was able to officially conduct a full cycle of study abroad and issue a South Korean diploma for IUT graduates without compulsory education of students in the Republic of Korea itself. In this regard, the possibility of transferring the IUT educational program from the 3 + 1 scheme to the 4 + 0 is being discussed, which in turn will eliminate the additional financial burden for IUT students. They also discussed the possibility of launching faculty fostering program to train local professors, and sending young specialists for advanced studying and obtaining a doctoral degree at Inha University in the Republic of Korea on an annual basis.

During the meeting, the Rector discussed the improvement and expansion of the IUT laboratories. He also discussed the possibility of launching scholarship program on an annual basis for IUT graduates with the highest scores.

Benefits for Pre-University students

Inha University in Tashkent provides following benefits to the students of the Pre-University courses:

  • Students will be exempted from taking the IUT entrance examination if they get 60 points for each subject during the final examination.
  • Only Pre-University students have a second chance to take the entrance examination.
  • First and second year students of colleges and academic lyceums will become the IUT students after a successful completion of their studies.
  • Pre-University students have an opportunity to use the university facilities.
