How to Apply

2018~2019 Academic Year IUT Admission Plan


1. Departments & Student Population

  • School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE)
    • 300 students will be selected (290 students - contract based and 10 students - Founders' Grant*) 
    • *For grant only the applicants with real financial need should apply. Therefore applicants for grant based study will forgo their right to apply for contract based study in the same year.
  • School of Logistics (SOL)
    • 120 students will be selected

2. Application Qualifications:

  • Lyceum, college or high school graduates from domestic or foreign schools;
  • National or international graduates-to-be from the first half of 2018;
  • Applicants who passed the English Proficiency Requirements

3. English Proficiency Requirements:

  • IELTS score higher or equal to 5.0, or TOEFL iBT score higher or equal to 50 for SOCIE school
  • IELTS score higher or equal to 6.0, or TOEFL iBT score higher or equal to 75 for SOL school

Results of the IELTS and TOEFL tests are required to be submitted by July 9, 2018).

4. IUT Entrance Exam

  • IUT Orientation date – Wednesday, July 18, 2018.
  • IUT Entrance Exam date- Thursday-Friday, July 19-20, 2018.
  • Subjects for SOCIE school:
    • Mathematics in written form, 20 questions (60 minutes)
    • Physics in written form, 20 questions (60 minutes)
    • Maximum possible score is 100 points.

Total score is calculated by sum of 60% of mathematics and 40% of physics scores.

  • Subject for SOL school:
    • Mathematics in written form, 20 questions (60 minutes)
    • Maximum possible score is 100 points.

- Scope of Possible Questions are based on educational standards from high schools in Korea and Uzbekistan

Application Procedure

Applying for IUT Admission

Undergraduate applicants can apply to IUT Entrance Exam through taking the following steps:

1. Fill-in the application form at IUT homepage.

2. Submit the scanned version of the following documents (JPEG or PNG):

a. Language Proficiency (at least IELTS 5.0 for SOCIE school and 6.0 for SOL school / TOEFL IBT 50 for SOCIE school and 75 for SOL school) (Sample)

b. A copy of passport or residence permit (Sample)

c. Diploma from School/Lyceum/College or a verification letter from Lyceum/College (Sample)

d. Image photo (taken within 3 months) - 3.5 x 4.5cm;

e. Copy of Medical Certificate - 086  (Sample)

Documents sent through e-mail or fax will not be accepted. All scanned documents should be submitted via IUT admission application form online until July 9th, 2018 (17:00).


  • Please NOTE that students are required to apply for either SOCIE or SOL.
  • For SOCIE only, there are two separate admission selection tracks: contract-based and scholarship-based admission.
    • In 2018-2019 academic year, out of 300 students, 290 students will be selected for contract-based admission and 10 students for scholarship-based admission.
    • Please NOTE that students are required to apply for only one of two separate admission selection tracks. Students cannot apply for both tracks. Those students who apply for scholarship-based admission will NOT be considered as successful candidates for contracted-based admission and vice versa.
    • The mathematics and physics exam questions for SOCIE are the same for both contract-based and scholarship-based admission.  
    • Only top 10 students among those students who apply for scholarship-based admission will be selected based on IUT entrance exam score. However, the criteria for selecting 10 students of scholarship-based admission must meet and follow the two conditions below;
      • The exam score of top 10 students must be higher than the minimum passing score of 1st successful list of students who apply for contracted-based admission.
      • In case of a tie in the exam scores, the scholarship students will be selected in the order of their math scores, Official English Proficiency scores and young age.

Benefits for Pre-University students

Inha University in Tashkent provides following benefits to the students of the Pre-University courses:

  • Students will be exempted from taking the IUT entrance examination if they get 60 points for each subject during the final examination.
  • Only Pre-University students have a second chance to take the entrance examination.
  • First and second year students of colleges and academic lyceums will become the IUT students after a successful completion of their studies.
  • Pre-University students have an opportunity to use the university facilities.
