Touch Math Festival

During winter school holidays from the 6th to 8th of January, 2016, the 1st Touch Math Festival will be held at Inha University in Tashkent. The festival opens at 1 p.m., January 6, 2016. The festival aims at the students of middle and high schools, teachers of math, and all those who love math and have great interest in it.

The major goal of the festival is to reveal the wonders of math, demonstrate its fascinating features, and to show that learning and teaching math can be entertaining and fun. 20 different math-related exhibition stands will be represented by 20 math teachers from various secondary schools of the Republic of Korea. Contests among schoolchildren and teachers including memorable prize awards and certificates will be held during the festival.

What to see during the Festival

Inha University in Tashkent will conduct a campaign “Progamming Hour” within the First Touch Math Festival. The campaign is open for children at the age from 9 to 15.

On 7 and 8 January 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00, all interested can participate in one free lesson on visual programming on Scratch.

The registration for free lessons will take place from 14:00 on 6 January. The lessons will be held in Uzbek on 7 January and Russian – on 8 January 2016.

The training will be based on Scratch visual programming language and conducted on interesting game form. The participants will receive general information on programming and how they can make simple games.

Number of the seats is limited. First 40 registered people will be able to attend the lessons.

Special Lecture by Korean side

The honored guest of the festival, professor of Inha University in South Korea, Dr Hoon Chang will run few lectures devoted to hypercube and mathematics in everyday life. In addition, as part of the program, there is going to be a competition among school students and teachers with various prize awards. Also, there will be another present for teachers of IUT and Inha University in Korea – a special book with interesting exercises on algebra, geometry and logic.

IUT begins to accept applications for Pre-University Course

We are happy to announce that the Admissions process to IUT Pre-University Course is now open. We have two good news for our new generation of applicants.

Number one - from this year we are launching a two-year preparatory program. This was a long waited event since many parents have been requesting to provide this type of study program. From now on 1st and 2nd year students of academic lyceums and professional colleges have a great chance to study at Inha University preparatory courses for two years. This will enable them to improve their Math, Physics and English language skills further and be ready for an academic life at our University.

Number two – second-year lyceum and college students will have three opportunities to take entrance examination to IUT within a two year program.
