Winners of Math Olympiad announced
Winners of Math Olympiad “Inha Tashkent Math Challenge” among the first-year students of academic lyceums and professional colleges of Tashkent city, which was organized by Inha University in Tashkent, were announced.
The main goal of the Olympiad is to reveal gifted and active students of academic lyceums and professional colleges, as well as to show that studying mathematics can be interesting and fun.
The Olympiad was held in two stages. In the first stage, among the first-year students of academic lyceums and professional colleges of Tashkent city registered for Olympiad from 27 April to 15 May 2017.
Some 200 students of academic lyceums and professional colleges of Tashkent city registered to the Olympiad.
In the second stage, the registered students participated in the Olympiad. They answered to 20 questions within 90 minutes. About 160 young people participated in the second stage.
Sarvar Sharafboev took the first place, collecting 100 points. Rasulbek Ozodov and Sukhrob Yusupov clinched the second place. Third place went to Violetta Sim.
Rector of Inha University in Tashkent Sarvar Babakhodjaev congratulated the winners of the Olympiad.
Sarvar Sharafboev received an opportunity to study in IUT Pre-University courses (math, physics and English) at no cost within two years, Rasulbek Ozodov and Sukhrob Yusupov – during a year and Violetta Sim – within six months.
