Please, note that students who are admitted to the SOCIE will be assigned to one of two departments (CSE and ICE) by the regulation of IUT after completing the first year of the education program at IUT.

Please, note that students who apply to SBL MUST choose between Business Administration and Logistics. Students CANNOT apply for both majors at the same time.

Among Pre-University students who take the final examination, 108 students (up to 40% of 270) for SOCIE and 28 students for Business Administration and 20 students for Logistics (up to 40% of 120) for SBL can be admitted.

It is also noted that the admission quota may not be completely filled in case the students’ scores of the entrance exam (IUT Entrance Examination Admission), the Pre-University final exam (Pre-University Final Examination Admission), or the evaluation of document review and interview (International Student Special Admission) are lower than the passing score set by the Admission Committee of Inha University.

 

2. Eligibility for the 2021-2022 Admission 

2.1 IUT Entrance Examination Admission

Domestic or foreign lyceum, college or high school graduates or graduates-to-be in the first half of the year 2021. Those students who hold a Korean passport are not eligible for IUT Entrance Examination Admission. Applicants with dual citizenship (Korean and other country) are regarded as Korean citizens.

For those students who pass the entrance exam should meet the English Proficiency Requirements.

(School of Business and Logistics)

For those students who pass the 1st entrance exam should submit either IELTS or TOEFL iBT certificate by Jul 7th (Wed), 2021 which is issued between July 8th, 2019 and July 7th, 2021 on condition that they complete the registration and pay the tuition by May 7th (Fri), 2021. Please note that there is no extension to the submission due date.

For those students who pass the 2nd entrance exam should submit either IELTS or TOEFL iBT certificate by Jul 7th (Wed), 2021 which is issued between July 8th, 2019 and July 7th, 2021 on condition that they complete the registration and pay the tuition by July 7th (Wed), 2021. Please note that there is no extension to the submission due date.

For those students who pass the 3rd entrance exam should submit either IELTS or TOEFL iBT certificate by Aug 13th (Fri), 2021 which is issued between Aug 14th, 2019 and Aug 13th, 2021 on condition that they complete the registration and pay the tuition by Aug 13th (Fri), 2021. Please note that there is no extension to the submission due date.

 

Please, note that those who have completed secondary education(High school) taught in English in the country that uses English as their native or legal official language shall be exempted from submitting the official English test score.

 

2.2 Pre-University Final Examination Admission

Those students who satisfy all of the following are eligible for the Pre-University Final Examination Admission.

● Pre-University students who successfully complete the Pre-University program for at least three semesters or longer.
● Domestic or foreign lyceum, college or high school graduates or students currently enrolled. Those students who hold a Korean passport are not eligible for Pre-University Final Examination Admission. Applicants with dual citizenship (Korean and other country) are regarded as Korean citizens.

For those students who pass the Pre-University Final Examination should meet the English Proficiency Requirements.

For those students who pass the International Student Special Admission should meet the English Proficiency Requirements.

3. Admission Process for the 2021-2022 Admission 

3.1 IUT Entrance Examination Admission

IUT Entrance exam will be offered 3 times unless the quota is filled.

The students are required to apply for either SOCIE or SBL, not both.

Please note that the students who passed a contract-based exam (either SOCIE or SBL program) and completed the registration by the due date, are not allowed to take another contract-based exam.

For SOCIE program, there are two different admission selection tracks: contract-based and scholarship-based admission. In the 2021-2022 academic year, 270 students will be selected on contract-based admission and 30 students on scholarship-based admission.

 

(1) 1st Entrance Exam (Contract-based Admission only)

The 1st Entrance Exam is closed and the successful candidates were announced on April 28th(Wed).

The successful candidates must complete their registration by 5:00 pm on May 7th (Fri), 2021; otherwise, the qualification of successful candidates will be no longer valid and canceled.

  The successful candidates can register (take the contract) by bringing his/her passport to IUT.

   – Registration period: April 29th – May 7th (Saturday and Sunday : day off)

   – Office hours: 9:30 – 17:30 (Lunch time 13:00-14:00)

The application for 2nd Entrance Exam opens on Apr 26th (Mon), 2021.

The application deadline for 2nd Entrance Exam is 5:00 pm on Jun 1st (Tue), 2021.

The students apply for SBL on the contract-based admission.

The students apply for SOCIE on either the contract-based admission or the scholarship-based admission, not both.

The students are allowed to apply for either SOCIE or SBL, not both.

The Pre-University students are also allowed to take the 2nd entrance examination.

The students who passed the 1st entrance examination of SOCIE program are allowed to take the 2nd entrance exam of SOCIE program on scholarship-based admission.

All students who take the 2nd Entrance Exam should pay the application fee of UZS 200,000 by 5:00 pm, Jun 4th (Fri), 2021.

       – Quiet and lone space (in case the proctor finds or hear a sound of
         another person other than an examinee, s/he will be disqualified)

 3. Complete Google Survey on Online Exam Pledge.
     (The Google Survey address will be provided online)

 4. Print out 2 sheets of answer sheet.
     (The answer sheet form will be provided online)

 5. Prepare your smartphone.

 2. Access ZOOM links at specified time, as guided on email.

 3. Download sample exam files sent on email.

 4. Confirm your identity as directed by online proctor.

 5. Position your smartphone according to a previously distributed
     tutorial video.  (The tutorial video will be provided online)

 6. Enter the password on sample questions as instructed by the proctor
     and complete the sample answer.(About 3 minutes)

 7. Practice putting hands above your head as proctor announces
     the end of an exam.

 8. Accurately expose the entire answer sheet to the smartphone screen
     as instructed by the proctor.

 9. Using a smartphone, take a clear picture of the entire pledge and
     answer sheet and send them to the proctor via email.
     (Write your name on the title of the email).

 10. Once submission is confirmed, you may exit the orientation
       as instructed by the proctor.

※ Make sure to familiarize yourself with the guidelines and tutorial videos regarding
     online exam that will be distributed beforehand. Examinees are FULLY RESPONSIBLE
     FOR all disadvantages that may occur due to the lack of knowledge on exam procedures.

 

Exam Method : Online Exam + Online Interview

• Online Exam : short-answer and essay type

– SOCIE_Contract Based : Math (7 questions) and Physics (3 questions) (30 minutes in total)

– SOCIE_Scholarship Based : Math (6 questions) and Physics (6 questions) (60 minutes in total)

– SBL : Math(10 questions) (30 minutes)

※ Step-by-step scoring (Regardless of whether the final answer is correct or not, “0” point will be given, if there are no solving processes) 
 

• Online Interview (for online exam passers only)

– Online Interview based on the application documents (Approximately 7 minutes per person, in English)

 

Screening Method : Step by step Method

• Select the appropriate number of applicants based on the online exam score, 100%

• After the online interview, successful candidates are selected based on the ranking within the admission quota (online exam 70% + online interview 30%)

The successful candidates must complete their registration by 5:00 pm on Jul 13th(Tue), 2021; otherwise, the qualification of successful candidates will be no longer valid and canceled.

 

(3) 3rd Entrance Exam (Contract-based Admission only)

The application for 3rd Entrance Exam opens on Jun 28th (Mon), 2021.

The application deadline for 3rd Entrance Exam is 5:00 pm on Jul 14(Wed), 2021.

The students are allowed to apply for either SOCIE or SBL, not both.

All students who take the 3rd Entrance Exam should pay the application fee of UZS 200,000 by 5:00 pm, Jul 15th(Thu), 2021.

    the qualification of successful candidates will be no longer valid and canceled.
    PLEASE be informed and advised that if the enrollment quota is filled on the 2nd entrance exam,
    the 3rd entrance exam may not be held

3.2 Pre-University Final Examination

Pre-University Final exam will be offered one time to the students who are currently enrolled in and successfully complete the Pre-University program for at least three semesters or longer.

The students are allowed to apply for either SOCIE or SBL, not both.

3.3 International Student Special Admission

Applications are reviewed as they arrive on a rolling basis within a specified time frame

The application for International Student Special Admission opens on March 9th (Tue), 2021.

The application deadline for International Student Special Admission is 5:00 pm on July 14th (Wed), 2021.

The students are allowed to apply for either SOCIE or SBL, not both.

All students who apply for International Student Special Admission should pay the application fee of UZS 200,000 with their application.

All the required documents listed in Section 4 should be uploaded onto the online application site for the International Student Special Admission (//foreign-admissions.inha.uz) by the application deadline.

Three additional documents; (1) Personal Statement, (2) Plan of Study, and (3) One recommendation letter should be uploaded onto online application site for the International Student Special Admission (//foreign-admissions.inha.uz) by the application deadline.

The decision on admission will be made upon the comprehensive review of the documents submitted.

Comprehensive evaluation of academic ability, activities, and potential

Based on the evaluation scores of document review and interview, successful candidates will be selected up to the admission quota for International Student Special Admission.

In case of a tie in the evaluation passing scores, all the students of tie scores will be announced as successful candidates.

SBL

 

It is noted that the admission quota for International Student Special Admission may not be completely filled in case the students’ score of the evaluation is lower than the passing score set by the Admission Committee of Inha University.

The 1st group of successful candidates for International Student Special Admission will be announced on Apr 28th (Wed), 2021 on the university website.

For the 1st group of successful candidates, the registration deposit period begins from Apr 28th (Wed), 2021. The amount of registration deposit is USD 1,000.

For the 1st group of successful candidates, the registration deposit period ends by 5:00 pm on July 13th (Tue), 2021.

The 1st group of successful candidates must complete their registration during the period from August 6th (Fri), 2021 to 5:00 pm on August 13th (Fri), 2021; otherwise, the qualification of successful candidates will be no longer valid and canceled.

The 2nd group of successful candidates for International Student Special Admission will be announced on Jun 30th(Wed), 2021 on the university website.

For the 2nd group of successful candidates, the registration deposit period begins from Jun 30th(Wed), 2021. The amount of registration deposit is USD 1,000.

For the 2nd group of successful candidates, the registration deposit period ends by 5:00 pm on July 13th (Tue), 2021.

The 2nd group of successful candidates must complete their registration during the period from August 6th (Fri), 2021 to 5:00 pm on August 13th (Fri), 2021; otherwise, the qualification of successful candidates will be no longer valid and canceled.

The 3rd group of successful candidates for International Student Special Admission will be announced on Aug 6th(Fri), 2021 on the university website.

The 3rd group of successful candidates must complete their registration during the period from Aug 6th (Fri), 2021 to 5:00 pm on August 13th (Fri), 2021; otherwise, the qualification of successful candidates will be no longer valid and canceled.

 

4. Application Procedure and Required Documents

All domestic and international students (foreign passport holder) must visit the website (//inha.uz/pages/185) to get the information for the IUT Admission Guideline for 2021-2022 Academic Year.

All domestic students must visit the online application site (//admissions.inha.uz) to complete the IUT admission application and upload all required documents listed below.

All international students (foreign passport holder) must visit the online application site (//foreign-admissions.inha.uz) to complete the IUT admission application and upload all required documents listed below and three additional documents stated in 3.3.

Any application form and documents through email will not be accepted.

All scanned documents required for the admission decision should be submitted and uploaded through the IUT online application site.

All of the required documents listed above, especially the Official English Proficiency Test certificate, must be submitted by the deadline.

PLEASE be informed that if the submitted documents, especially Official English Proficiency Test certificate, are intentionally fabricated or forged, a criminal complaint will be filed against the applicants.

 

5. Tuition

Please note that tuition for domestic students (Citizens of Uzbekistan) shall be paid in Sums (Uzbek currency) and international students (foreign passport holder) in US Dollars.

The students who pass the 1st entrance exam (either SOCIE or SBL program) are allowed to take the SOCIE scholarship-based exam for the 2nd entrance exam, but they must complete their registration by the due date; otherwise, their qualification as the successful candidates of the 1st entrance exam will be no longer valid and canceled.
 
Please note that in case there will be no 3rd entrance exam held, those students who failed the SOCIE scholarship-based exam can also be included and announced as the successful candidates if they agree to switch to the contract-based admission and their score is higher than the passing score as well.
