At the beginning of March 2019, Uzbekistan will host the second educational program DigiGirlz High Tech Camp Uzbekistan, dedicated to the increase of the potential of girls and attracting them to the technology sector.
DigiGirlz is Microsoft’s program, which is aimed to make investment in education, science, technology, engineering and mathematics for girls. The program is designed to prepare prospective employees who are ready for the challenges and problems of the global economy.
The program will be held at Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) on March 2, 3 and 6.
The DigiGirlz High Tech Camp Uzbekistan program will provide young girls with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the technology and innovations.
General Manager of Microsoft in Central and Eastern Europe Anke den Ouden is expected to participate in DigiGirlz High Tech Camp Uzbekistan and share his experience with the participants of the project.
The program is open to girls who are 12-14 (junior group) and 15-17 years old (senior group). Interested girls will be able to register on DigiGirlz High Tech Camp through the website www.digigirlz.uz until February 23, 2019. The number of places is limited: 60 people – the junior group and 40 people – in the senior group.
The sponsors of DigiGirlz High Tech Camp Uzbekistan are Microsoft Corporation and Inha University in Tashkent. The event is conducted with the support of the Ministry of Public Education and Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications and of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
