On the 25th of August, 2019 Inha University in Tashkent hosted the entrance examination to the 5th grade for the 2019-2020 academic year, the one and only IT school in Uzbekistan for in-depth study of information and communication technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorezmiy, established in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
From August 10 to 23, the school named after Muhammad al-Khorezmiy conducted online acceptance of students’ documents to the 5th grade. In order to enter to the examination is necessary to complete:
- birth certificate;
- a certificate from the school confirming the completion of grade 4;
- photos (3.5×4.5 cm) 6 pcs.
- A copy of the student’s report card (Grade 4), approved by the school principal. On the 24th of August, an orientation day was held in the Inha University in Tashkent for all registered applicants, the total number of which amounted to 589 people. On the 25th of August, Inha University in Tashkent, together with the IT school, organized entrance examination for registered applicants in mathematics and English. The duration of the exams is 2 hours. Inha University in Tashkent has become a symbol of ensuring openness and transparency of exams. Authorities from Inha University in South Korea arrived to monitor the examination process. Each examination audience had a live broadcast, which allowed parents of applicants and everyone interested to watch the whole process online. As a result of entrance exams, 60 out of 589 people will be accepted into the 5th grade of a specialized school. It should be mentioned that the specialized school was created in accordance with the decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On the organization of a specialized school for in-depth study of the subject of information and communication technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorazmiy” dated September 14, 2017. Students of the specialized school will study in depth mathematics, physics, computer science and foreign languages with extensive use of modern information and pedagogical technologies based on state educational standards of general secondary education. According to the charter of the school, lessons will be held in the state language.
