On June 24-26, 2022, the Computer Vision AI Challenge hackathon was held at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi. According to the results of three days of competition, 2 teams of students from Inha University in Tashkent took prizes at once.
The AKIRA team, consisting of 4th year students of IUT – Akmal Musaev and Nodira Tillyaeva, presented their project on garbage and waste sorting.
Their project won first place in the hackathon. According to A. Musaev, their project won largely “due to the urgency of this problem, as well as due to the good presentation of the mechanism.”
In the future, members of the AKIRA team plan to develop in the field of IT and do not exclude the possibility of developing the idea of their waste sorting project.
The Neural Hardwork team, which united two IUT students (Rustam Zokirov and Sarvar Mutalov) and one TUIT student (Bekhruz Nutfilloev), presented the Emergency Pass project at the hackathon.
This project includes an automatic detection system for emergency vehicles (ambulance, fire, police). This system detects the cars listed above, and the barrier and lying policemen automatically take the right place. According to the results of three days of the hackathon, the Neural Hardwork team took the second prize.
We sincerely congratulate the students of the University on their well-deserved victories and wish them further success!
