The educational process at Inha University in Tashkent continues online

The media spread false information that Inha University in Tashkent was quarantined for two weeks due to the fact that one of the students was diagnosed with coronavirus. In order to avoid the continued spread of false information, the university explains that in fact, on March 20 of this year, it became known that the test for COVID-2019 of a second-year student of Inha University in Tashkent turned out to be positive.

Currently, the student is undergoing the necessary treatment at home under the supervision of medical staff, and not in medical institutions, since his condition is assessed as good. The student is in good health and attends classes remotely from home.

Based on the above, we declare that Inha University in Tashkent is not in quarantine. As a precaution measure, the educational process at the university was completely transferred to the online mode, taking into consideration that students at the university study in different groups by discipline, and not just in one group. During this period, all students will continue to attend classes remotely. The information that the university is completely closed has no basis.

Professors and teachers continue working at the university in remote interactive formats in classrooms equipped with modern technologies.

It should be noted that today the transfer of the educational process at the university to the online system has shown its effectiveness. One of the examples is Inha University in Tashkent, where 4th year students specialized in Logistics study remotely online at Inha University in South Korea.

Over the past year and a half, the university has systematically worked with Inha University in South Korea to raise the quality of remote education to the level of the traditional teaching system. For the first time in Uzbekistan, the process of admitting students to a university for the 2020-2021 academic year was carried out remotely in an online format. Applicants tested their knowledge in exams organized by professors of Inha University in South Korea from different regions of the country, and the worthiest of them became students of Inha University in Tashkent.

The creation of a special platform at Inha University in Tashkent, which can provide a high level of online education, provides high quality remote learning for students. At the same time, results-oriented work in other areas is being carried out through this platform. In particular, from November 2020 to February 2021, the University organized online remote learning courses for teachers in the field of Informatics and Information Technologies in secondary schools operating in all regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and assessed their knowledge.

Today, there is no difference in the quality of education at a university, regardless of whether students are studying online or offline. The quality and effectiveness of education are equally preserved in both forms.

Currently, it is planned to pass midterm exams in the traditional way with the attendance of students at the university.
