Developers of the «Smart mask» became the winners of the Covid-19 Challenge 2020 competition

Students of IUT, Doston Mardiev and Aziza Abdurakhmanova, submitted their development “Smart mask” to the competition for finding innovative tools and solutions to mitigate the effects of the Covid-19 challenge 2020 pandemic and became the winners. 

The anti-crisis, competition, which was announced on April 7, received more than 600 applications in such categories as “Health”, “Assistance to vulnerable segments of the population”, “support for entrepreneurship and employment”, “Education”, “Leisure”. Based on the results of the selection, the organizers selected three participants in each of the categories. And today, five of the best projects have become known.

The main idea of the «Life’s card» portal is that those in need and volunteers can find out each other’s location and help the nearest person at a distance accordingly. 

The «Solidarity» project is designed to collect applications from people in need. A telegram bot and a web page have been created for this, where those in need and volunteers can register for free.

«Human House» Online School. The purpose – togive lectures on architecture, archaeology, traditions, ethnography, applied arts of Uzbekistan, thereby introducing participants to various crafts and teaching them to practice independently at home.

The «Cambridgeonline.uz» platform is the most customized B2B product for educational institutions and synchronized with offline learning (i.e., allows for a smooth transition from offline to online if needed). 

«Smart mask» is a mask that studies the symptoms of the disease from the very beginning of use, such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing and the amount of oxygen in the blood. The data obtained are compared with the symptoms of Covid-19 and other infectious diseases using a special algorithm and a tentative diagnosis is made.

As a result, the winners of the Covid-19 Challenge 2020 will receive funding to implement their projects, be supported by the competition organizers, as well as receive technical assistance from mentors to assist in the full implementation of the projects.
