2. General Information

A. Scheduled Date of Appointment : September 1st, 2022 (Appointed as an IURBF researcher for a period stipulated by the Korean law.)

B. Master’s or Doctoral degree holder, who can deliver lectures in English, and without any disqualification for the appointment as the faculty of the private university (Doctoral degree holder preferred)

C. The initial contract period is one year and after the expiration of the contract, it can be renewed on a yearly basis after the evaluation. (However, the academic affairs of IUT are subject to the contract between Inha University and the Uzbek government, and the terms of the employment contract may change or the employment contract may not be renewed.)

D. For applicants who are subject to the second round interview, the online video interview is possible.

3. Important Notes

A. The appointed applicant is dispatched to Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to work as a professor, and must provide lectures taught in English for at least 12 credits every semester.

B. The appointed applicant has a separate employment contract with IUT and must stay in Tashkent, Uzbekistan during the semester.

C. The salary is subject to a separate agreement with IUT.

D. Those applicants, who can smoothly deliver the subject lectures in English and have excellent research performance, teaching experience, or work experience in the related industry in the last 5 years, are preferred.

4. Criteria for Evaluation

A. Evaluation rounds : Document screening (1st round) and Interview (2nd round)

B. Evaluation Criteria : Conformity in major(20), Experiences in teaching, research and industry(20), Teaching plan and syllabus(20), Sample lecture video in English for a major subject course(20), and Interview(20)

(1) Application for Faculty Position (Designated form)

※ Application will be nullified if not written on the designated form

(2) List of Key Achievements (Designated form) : List up to three major research achievements, including  dissertation/book/patent published within the last 10 years (Can be used as qualitative evaluation data in the Interview)

(3) Personal Statement (Designated form) : Explaining personal information, motivation of application and major area

(4) Teaching Plan and Syllabus(Designated form)

(5) Copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts and diplomas

(6) Career Certificates including all experiences in education, research and industries  (Career without the proof of documents is not recognized)

(7) Copies of Three Major Research Achievements (Within the last 10 years as of the application submission deadline) : Submit only pages relevant to each research achievement.

– Journal Article : Abstract, Title of article, Name of the journal, Name(s) of the author(s), Authorship, Academic society of publication, Year and month of publication, and Volume/Number are to be included.

(9) Letters of Recommendation : Recommendations from one or more experts in the relevant field (Free form)
