A 2-course student of Inha university in Tashkent created an online educational project ekurs.uz

My name is Shukhratov Bekhzod and I am 18. I am a sophomore student at INHA University in Tashkent and my faculty is Computer Engineering (Socie-U2010259).

The project that I have started is called eKurs, stands for “Electronic Courses”. The project can be accessed by searching the www.eKurs.uz site. The project is a set of high-demand courses that are fully free, efficient and easily accessible. Main aim of the project is to improve the education level of youth of Uzbekistan by creating open sources in Uzbek language.

The project tends to teach the basics of the subjects in the way that, after watching our video-courses, one can continue the advanced part of that subject by themselves. The videos are short and cover many useful information in them. All the courses have small projects or tasks that viewers can do to strengthen their knowledge. For example, students will be able to create sites like eKurs.uz after watching the WEB-Courses. If there is any question appears while studying, there is a forum we created in which students can ask their question and those who already know the answer or teachers will answer.

I have made the courses be accessed very easily so that anyone can use it without any effort. For example, one does not have to have any account to enter and there is no login page which would cause negative user experience.
The video-courses are also available on YouTube in Ekurs YouTube channel for those who prefer to watch videos on YouTube.

It was winter 2020. Right after first semester ended, I had free time. I was really interested in programming. Then, I found a free course about Python programming language. It was all in English. After finishing the course, I was interested in translating it into Uzbek so that others, who do not understand English can learn it, too. However, I had to put off this idea because of university studies. Finally, after finishing the second semester, I managed to find free time and decided to start the project by making its site.

At first, I began with WEB-courses. Soon after, as the idea was very promising, Farrukh Muminov (main advisor, experienced supervisor), Nurbek Erkinov (designer of the site) and Azizullo Temirov (SMM specialist) joined the team to make the project better. The project is constantly developing. Anyone, who wants to share their knowledge, can join the team by contacting us. So, soon from now, there will be more courses available thanks to you.
