Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Abror Abdukhalimov. I am 23 years old and I am a graduate of logistics department (school of logistics) of Inha University in Tashkent. I have studied in Tashkent for 3 years, and in Korea for 6 months. I have been working as a Teaching Assistant for IUT since I came back from Korea.
How was the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation Scholarship Program selection process organized, and what was required of the candidates?
The selection process was divided into stages. First, I was required to submit documents, then the interview was held, and after that the final list of scholars was announced.
It was required to have a language certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, etc), conditional or unconditional offer from Top Universities in the world, and relevant work experience.
I got several offers from prestigious universities, but decided to choose University of Sussex(UK) for my further studies. The course I chose is Ms in Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management.
The course is ranked 4th in the UK (and 32nd in the World) in the global QS Supply Chain Management Masters ranking 2021. But, the course ranking is not the only thing that attracted me to Sussex Business School. I was very impressed by the professors of the University.
Whose role can you single out in this success?
Everyone who supported me; my family, friends, IUT.
What are your plans for the future?
Logistics is really important for the economic growth of our country, and our President keeps emphasizing its role in solving existing problems. I am planning to complete my course, come back, and be a significant force in making Uzbekistan an economic and logistic hub in Central Asia.
