Inha University in Tashkent launches online application for prospective students

Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) has started to accept online applications of prospective students for 2019-2020 academic year from 13 March 2019.

Admission process

Following the same procedure as in previous years, the application for admission to undergraduate courses for the 2019-2020 academic year is fully conducted online.

Prospective students, who want to apply to IUT, should fill in the online application form on the website of the university. Prospective students can familiarize themselves with the admission requirements here.

During the online application, applicants must provide personal information and send e-copies of documents: passport, photo (3.5×4.5), and if available, copies of diploma of the academic lyceum or professional college/high school, medical certificate form 086, and IELTS or TOEFL IBT certificate.

If the applicants have not yet received their diploma from their secondary school/college or lyceum, they should provide the certificate or official letter from their educational institutions.

Those prospective students, who completed the online application, can participate in the IUT Entrance exams of math and physics for the School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE) and math for the School of Logistics (SOL):

Applicants who applied for SOCIE must have IELTS 5.0 or above or TOEFL iBT 50 or above.

Applicants who applied for SOL must have IELTS 5.5 or above or TOEFL iBT 71 or above.

Scholarship and Contract-based education

There are two separate admission selection tracks for prospective students who are applying to the SOCIE: contract-based and scholarship-based admission. In 2019-2020 academic year, 290 students will be selected on contract-based admission and 10 students on scholarship-based admission.

Inha University in Tashkent offers 10 students with Founder’s grant in the direction of School of Computer and Information Engineering (SOCIE). Those applicants, who apply for scholarship-based admission, will not be considered as successful candidates for contracted-based admission and vice versa.

International Student Special Admission

Inha University in Tashkent recruits international students who hold a foreign passport and meet the minimum requirement of the official English proficiency test score. In the 2019-2020 academic year, 30 students for SOCIE and 30 students for SOL will be selected through either early admission or regular admission. International students should fill in the online application form and upload all the required documents on online admission application site for the foreign students, foreign-admissions.inha.uz. Quota

IUT is planning to accept 420 students in 2019-2020 academic year. In particular, the university will accept 300 students to the SOCIE and 120 students to the SOL.

IUT Entrance Exam

It should be noted that IUT Entrance exam will be offered three times this year unless the quota is filled. 

During the entrance exams, the prospective students will answer 20 questions on each subject in written form. 60 minutes will be given for the answers for each subject. The exam questions are formed on standard curriculum for secondary education. Total score for SOCIE is calculated by the sum of 70% of mathematics and 30% of physics scores. For SOL, math exam will only be given to the prospective students.

Tuition fee

Domestic Students

For 2019-2020 academic year, the tuition fee for SOCIE is 28.5 million Sums per year and for SOL is 30 million Sums per year.

Foreign Students

The tuition fee for SOCIE is 5,000 USD per year and for SOL is 5,250 USD per year. Please note that tuition for domestic students (Citizens of Uzbekistan) shall be paid in Sums (Uzbek currency) and international students (foreign passport holder) in US Dollars.
