My name is Stitsyuk Artyom and this year 2021 I graduated from the ICE faculty.
Tell us – which university in South Korea did you apply for?
I entered Hanyang University in Seoul on the GKS (Global Korea Scholarship) program of the South Korean Government on Artificial Intelligence faculty.
Hanyang is one of the top technical universities in Asia. Plus, this university has a strong Artificial Intelligence program.
Korea is one of the most developed countries in the world in the field of information technology and computer engineering. I expect to gain a lot of new knowledge, communicate and do research with AI professionals.
What was the most difficult part of the admission process to Hanyang University?
Probably, the interview was the most difficult part, since I went through it in Korean (those who did not know the language were interviewed in English). This was my first practice of natural dialogue in Korean with native speakers.
I advise everyone who is going to enter Korean universities to pay great attention to learning the language. Knowledge of the language shows your attitude to the culture of the country where you will study.
What plans do you have for the future?
After graduating from my master’s degree, I plan to get a PhD. What will happen after that, I do not know yet, but in the next 4-5 years I plan to learn and absorb the knowledge.
What can you say about Inha University in Tashkent?
IUT has played a vital role in my education and student life. Our university strives to create excellent conditions for its students (such as air conditioning, projectors, internet, comfortable chairs and spacious classrooms) so that they can focus on their studies and study effectively.
Professors are a separate merit of Inha University in Tashkent. We are taught by experts from all over the world, each of whom was educated in the best world-class educational institutions such as MIT, Harvard and KAIST. They all share their experiences and attract students’ interest in their subjects. I want to express a special gratitude to Professor An and Professor Noh, who have always helped with their advice on my future and life in Korea, thus playing a huge role in my success and admission.
