IUT hosts chess tournament

The regional stage of the republican chess tournament “Youth Chessboard” took place at the Inha University in Tashkent (IUT).

Within the Mirzo-Ulugbek district stage tournament, more than 400 students competed in six age groups. As a result, 12 young people, consisting of 6 boys and 6 girls, became winners and qualified to the Tashkent city stage of the Youth Chessboard tournament.

It should be noted that this event is held in order to popularize and develop the mass character of chess among youth, to strengthen the thinking abilities of the younger generation, to preserve and enhance sports and cultural traditions.
