Address the Climate Crisis, Connect Globally, and Make a Difference!

The 2025 Uzbekistan-Korea Global Green Challenger Program is a unique opportunity for students at IUT to collaborate with top universities from Korea to tackle the global climate crisis. This international education initiative focuses on climate change solutions and hands-on experience, with key activities, including hackathons, workshops, and field visits.

Program Overview:

Eligibility: IUT Sophomore & Junior students (GPA 3.0 or higher)
Recruitment: 6 participants

Main Activities:

  • Co-visit to climate change-affected areas in Uzbekistan
  • Special lecture by local environmental experts
  • Hackathon competition and workshops on climate change responses
  • Cultural exchange between Uzbekistan and Korean students
  • The hackathon teams will consist of one student from a Korean university and two students from Uzbekistan.

Program Benefits:

  • Certificate awarded to all participants
  • Prizes for the top teams in the hackathon competition
  • The winning team will be given the opportunity to visit South Korea (Winter 2025-26), with airfare and accommodation provided!

  • Application Period: Nov 15 – Nov 26, 2024
  • Interview Date: Nov 28, 2024
  • Announcement of Selected Candidates: Nov 29, 2024
  • Local Activity Dates: July 8 – July 15, 2025
