On October 24, Dr. Hamadoun Touré, the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) from 2007 to 2014, visited Inha University in Tashkent.
The Rector of Inha University in Tashkent, Muzaffar Djalalov, introduced the guest to the campus. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation and exchange of experience in key areas of technological education development.
Dr. Touré highly appreciated the conditions for student learning and specialist training at Inha University in Tashkent. He noted the importance of integrating innovative educational approaches and developing research projects.
Dr. Touré expressed particular admiration for the fact that thanks to the attention of the Uzbek government to the development of the digital technology sector, the republic’s position in the UN e-Government Development Index is rapidly improving.
