Inha University in Tashkent and INHA University (South Korea) strengthen strategic partnership

As part of a working trip to the Republic of Korea, Bobur Abdullaev, Rector of Inha University in Tashkent, met with Dr. Cho Myeong Woo, President of INHA University (South Korea). The talks became an important stage in the development of bilateral cooperation between the educational institutions.

   

The key result of the visit was the signing of an agreement on the continuation of cooperation, which provides for a significant expansion of academic and institutional interaction between the two universities. The agreements include:

• Increasing the quota for student enrollment from 460 to 700 students as early as the 2025-2026 academic year, indicating a growing interest in quality international education in Uzbekistan.
• All graduates of Inha University in Tashkent will continue to receive the established Korean diplomas of INHA University, which strengthens international competitiveness.
• Expansion of educational areas: new programs including Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity – key areas in digital transformation – are planned to be opened in the near future.
• Introduction of a Korean-funded scholarship program for exchange students, which will open up additional opportunities for academic mobility.

The two sides also discussed a strategic plan to develop cooperation in the coming years, including academic exchanges, joint research and integration into global educational networks.
