International Cooperation Initiatives Week

As part of the International Cooperation Initiatives Week, the event  “Uzbekistan as a New Hub for International Business: Opportunities for Foreign Companies” was launched, organized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and IT Park Uzbekistan.
The Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, delivered a speech.
High-ranking guests actively participated in the panel discussion:
🔺The former President of the Republic of Serbia, now Member of the Board of Directors at Unitel and Advisor to the CEO of Veon Boris Tadić, delivered a speech on the topic “Uzbekistan is Emerging as a Regional IT Hub”.
🔺Raymond Vejonis, Former President of the Republic of Latvia shared his vision of Uzbekistan’s growth as an IT hub during the panel session “Uzbekistan as a New Hub for International Business: Opportunities for Foreign Companies”.
🔺Hamadoun Touré, former Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union, shared his insights on “The Importance of Telecommunications for Digital Uzbekistan”.
 🔺Akihiro Sakurai, former Vice President of NEC Corporation, delivered a speech on the ecosystem and the IT industry.
🔺Sean McEllin, Regional Director Middle East at IDA Ireland, took the stage to share his insights on Uzbekistan’s development
🔺As part of the country’s digitalization efforts, the “E-SAYLOV” project was presented by Bahrom Kuchkarov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
