On November 21, 2024, a grandiose IUT (Inha University Tashkent) Startup Fest was held at Inha University in Tashkent. This was a significant event dedicated to technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship that was attended by students from Inha University Tashkent, Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorazmiy, Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent, Turin Polytechnic University, American University of Technology (AUT), and students from schools such as Leader School, Bek School, Singapore International School and School №193.
The attendees of the event were afforded the opportunity to engage with the cutting-edge advancements, listen to insights from esteemed experts, and participate in conversations about the trajectory of technological progress.
Within the program, the speakers shared their vision of trends in startups and technologies:
• Muzaffar Djalalov, Rector of Inha University in Tashkent.
• Aziza Ortikkhodzhayeva, Program Manager at Plug and Play Uzbekistan.
• Anvar Narzullaev, CEO of Zherdev.
• Jasurbek Khojaev, Professor at Inha University in Tashkent.
• Fazliddin Kamilov, full-stack developer at Inha University in Tashkent.
• Sukhrob Gaibullaev, Dirctor of AloqaVentures.
The second part of the event focused on the presentation of student projects.
Muhammad Khalil, the founder of Startup Garage, and Stephen Lin, the founder of Swift Launch, addressed the participants and provided guidance on how to swiftly identify investors, develop a scaling strategy, and implement innovative project management approaches.
As part of the startup presentation, innovative projects in various industries were presented.
The participants presented their concepts to the jury and competed for scholarships in the form of coaching services provided by AloqaVentures for the Startup Garage.
The jury expressed high appreciation for the creativity and innovative nature of the ideas presented by the contestants. The winners were awarded with valuable recommendations and unique opportunities to further develop their projects.
