On November 8, 2024, Inha University in Tashkent marked a significant milestone with a grand celebration commemorating its 10th anniversary. The event brought together ambassadors, high-ranking officials from ministries and agencies, international partners, alumni, and friends of the university to celebrate a decade of remarkable growth and achievements, which have established Inha University in Tashkent as one of the leading institutions in IT education in Uzbekistan.
The festivities began with a historical video that beautifully illustrated the university’s journey from its founding to its current status, highlighting the long path of progress and transformation. The program also featured traditional dances, symbolizing the strong cultural ties and collaborative partnership that underpin the relationship between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.
Among the distinguished speakers were:
– Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
– Cho Myeong Woo, President of INHA University in the Republic of Korea;
– Won Do Yeon, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Korea;
– Lee Hwa Seok, Board Executive Director of INHA University ;
– Muzaffar Djalalov, Rector of Inha University in Tashkent.
Each of the speakers underscored the immense importance of Inha University in Tashkent as a center of education and innovation, playing a pivotal role in shaping highly skilled IT professionals who are essential to the advancement of Uzbekistan’s economy and the global technology landscape.
The celebration continued with inspiring speeches from successful alumni: Aziza Artikkhodjaeva, Aslkhon Khoshimkhujaev, Rakhima Nugmanova , and Muhammadsaid Mamasaidov, who shared their personal success stories. Their reflections on how the education they received at Inha University opened doors to endless opportunities and career success served as a powerful inspiration for current students. The event was further enriched by a video message from alumni working abroad at leading international companies, such as Nuruddin Iminokhunov, Darkhonbek Mamataliev, Dilmurod Yangiboyev , and Rustam Zokirov, who sent heartfelt congratulations from different corners of the globe.
In the past 10 years, Inha University in Tashkent has graduated over 1,900 specialists, who have become an integral part of the global IT community. Notably, more than 85% of these graduates have chosen to stay in Uzbekistan, making significant contributions to the country’s digital transformation and the development of the IT sector. The rest have gone on to pursue successful careers with some of the world’s top companies, including Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, representing the values and excellence of the university on the international stage.
This anniversary not only marks the culmination of a decade of academic excellence but also symbolizes the collaborative efforts of the university’s faculty, students, alumni, partners, and all those who have supported its growth over the years. Inha University in Tashkent takes great pride in having become a leading institution in training IT professionals and will continue to forge ahead, remaining a birthplace for ideas and a place where the leaders of tomorrow are shaped.
