The Rector’s Cup-2025 Hackathon has successfully started at Inha University in Tashkent.

On April 19, the Rector’s Cup-2025 hackathon, dedicated to developing innovative solutions in the field of virtual assistants and artificial intelligence in the Uzbek language, opened at Inha University in Tashkent. The hackathon was organized at the initiative of the Head of State to promote startup project developments in such areas as AI, Robotics, Cybersecurity.

The Rector of Inha University in Tashkent, Bobur Abdullaev, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of supporting student initiatives and developing AI technologies in Uzbekistan. Also, delivered speeches the sponsors of the event, Director of the UZCERT Department of the Cyber Security Center A’zam Gafurov, Director of the Ipak Yo’li Bank Database Baurzhan Aubakir, and Deputy Director of the Information Technology Department of Asia Alliance Bank Bahodir Mavlanov.

On the first day of the hackathon, participants got acquainted with mentors and jury members, formed teams, and began working on projects. During the day, the first mentoring sessions and control points will be held, where teams will receive valuable recommendations from experts.

Rector’s Cup-2025 gathered talented students eager to apply their knowledge in machine learning and create AI products.

📌 There is still intensive and active work ahead, and tomorrow will take place, the final presentation of the projects . The award ceremony for the winners will be held on Monday, April 21.
