Today is the 582th anniversary of the great poet of the world – Nizomiddin Mir Alisher (Alisher Navoiy).
Navoiy is the author of the greatest work “Hamsa” (“Quinary”), which consists of five poems – “Abrar ul-Khairat” (“The confusion of the righteous”), “Farhad va Shirin” (“Farhad and Shirin”), “Layli va Majnun”, “Sabai Sayar” (“Seven Planets”) and “Saddi Iskandari” (“Wall of Iskandar”).
Aside from lyric and epic poems, Alisher Navoiy wrote a number of works concerning the study of literature, philosophy, linguistics, and history. It is a wonderful day to honor his memory that’s why we invite you to the central library named after Alisher Navoi.
