On December 18, the IUT hosted a ceremony to award women programmers participating in the ITWomenUz project.
The main point of the project is to attract women in the field of modern information and communication technologies, training them in mobile applications, websites, software development, computer graphics and design.
The first step was a weekly training course at the IUT on August 19-24, 2019. The focus of women was on mobile application development, website development, software development, computer graphics and design. Having gained theoretical knowledge, the project participants completed internships at universities, organizations and enterprises in the field of information and communication technologies.
The second stage of the ITWomenUz was on September 19, which included a group team. ITWomenUz project participants presented their sites, software products and mobile applications, electronic posters. The most successful participants went to the ITWomenUz finals.
The Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan E. Basithanova also attended the final stage of ceremony. She also emphasized the need for more support and the creation of conditions for IT specialists. Officially, until this day has been registered 28,323 IT professionals in the country, of which 8,383 are women.
In the third round, the participants were award the nominations “Best Mobile Application”, “Best Website”, “Best Software Product”, “Best Innovative Project in the Field of ICT”, “Best Electronic Poster”. Winners were award with diplomas and valuable prizes. In addition, who achieved good results in training and practice were award certificates.
