My name is Jose L. Tongzon. I have a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from the University of Tasmania, Australia, a Master of Arts (MA) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines major in International Economics.
I joined IUT in 2017 and since then I have been teaching and conducting research in the area of international logistics, supply chain management, logistics management and economics.
I know every one of you in deciding to enter this university has a dream. A dream to be successful in whichever field of professional career you have chosen. I hope that I can contribute to achieving that dream by preparing and instilling in you the right skills, values and character that are required for achieving that dream. This is the main reason why I came to IUT.
Apart from experiencing and learning new cultures, I will try my very best to teach the courses you are taking under my supervision and guidance in a manner that is useful and relevant to your future professional career. However, this mission will not be accomplished without your hard effort and utmost cooperation. This is becoming even more important since, unlike other semesters, the courses will be taught online due to the current pandemic, the outcome of which heavily rely on your initiatives and self-discipline.
I wish all the success in your studies!
