The university has formed a group of active students “Student promotion group”, who during the holidays in their towns will meet with school students and talk about the importance of getting a higher education.
Last year, the administration of IUT formed a group of twenty-three active university students who take responsibility with the mission of telling young people about the importance of higher education and their personal stories of admission and study in one of the country’s most popular universities.
“The geography of students at our university is expanding every year. Today, students from all regions of the republic study at the university. Our thinking, our students’ stories could be useful for teenagers who have not yet been able to decide on their future profession and are generally not sure about future study. In our opinion, young people will be, able to easily share, information with their peers. That students who went to the same school a couple of years ago lived in a neighboring street, and today they are students of a any popular university and prospective specialists, will be a great clear example of how important it is to study and get an education”, – the administration noted.
Recently at the IUT was opening ceremony where the acting rector Muzaffar Djalalov and foreign vice-rector Professor Lee Dongwon, presented activists with certificates and brand jackets of the university.
Students also prepared presentations and received information materials that contain all the information about admission, training and prospects that study in higher educational institutions opens up for young people. During the holidays, more than twenty students go to their hometowns: Jizzakh, Samarkand, Bukhara, Navoi, Namangan, Andijan, Karshi and Khorezm. Three more students will hold meetings with students in Tashkent. As part of the campaign it is, planned that students in total will visit more than twenty local high school where they will present the advantages of higher education.
