  1. Your name and surname, age, and which faculty in what year did you graduate from Inha

My name is Abdurakhmon Urazboev. I am 22 years old, and I have graduated Computer Science Engineering faculty of Inha University this year.

  1. What is the name of the master’s program, university, and city in Korea in which you entered?

I got accepted to the Master’s program of Computer Science faculty of Hanyang University located in Seoul, South Korea. I was also selected for Hanyang International Scholarship Program (HISP) as a recipient of University scholarship for the whole duration of the course. Hanyang University is one of the leading universities of Asia in STEM fields and it is ranked as 146th in the QS Global World Rankings 2021.

  1. What caused you to choose this particular university?

The reason for choosing this university can be explained by one sentence: “Top tier quality of education and research capabilities.” Korea is one of the leaders in the fields of Information and Communication Technologies and Computer Engineering in the world. For that reason, the Korean Government and Universities are offering different types of scholarships to students, encouraging international knowledge exchange among locals and foreigners. Studying at Hanyang University allows me to gain knowledge on the latest technologies and developments in the market and help me become a competent engineer in the field of Computer Science.

  1. How intense was the competition in admission?

I am not aware of the exact number of applicants for this year, but the overall acceptance rate of the University is around 4%.

  1. Was it hard to pass the exams?

There was no exam during the admission process. Applicants were selected by their academic performance during their bachelor’s degree studies. I only had an interview with the professor on general topics such as the purpose of study and my further plans for the program.

  1. What surprised you the most upon admission?

There was nothing surprising during the admission process. It involved only procedures that are part of the international standard.

  1. What are your expectations from studying at this University?

My expectations from the study at this University are to cooperate with the professionals in my research in the field of Cloud computing and establish a good network with the leading researchers. I will try my best to make use of all provided opportunities.

  1. What are your future plans?

After completing my Master’s degree, I am planning to find a job at leading companies in the industry and utilize gained knowledge in practice for a few years. If I find a niche, that I want to study deeper and do research in, I will do a Ph.D. to become even better at my job and acquire more knowledge from conducting researches.

  1. What role did Inha University play in your student life?

IUT has played a crucial role in my life. With all the facilities and opportunities provided by the University, I was able to focus on my studies. Professional staff always helped me with any difficulties that I had during my studies. The university allowed me to communicate and work with so many talented people on different projects, that I managed to build a good network with professionals of their job.

Professors are a critical resource of the University. They contribute significantly to the quality of education of the institution. Professors of IUT are all experts of their field. They have a tremendous educational background at the most prestigious universities of the world such as MIT, Stanford University, Korea National University, and KAIST. Moreover, they have years of experience in leading companies in the industry, that they share with students. I am extremely grateful that I was able to study under their guidance. Especially, I want to express my sincere appreciation to Professor Francis Tai Noh, Professor Chongkoo An, and Professor Ashish Seth for their great support and advice for my future education and career.
