On March 27, 2021, Inha University in Tashkent took part in the Earth Hour movement held by the World Wildlife Fund. In all buildings of the university, from 20.30 to 21.30, the electricity was cut off for one hour.
Every year, on the last Saturday of March, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) holds a global environmental campaign “Earth Hour”. The movement is international. Every year, all participating countries raise one of the topical environmental topics, and thousands of architectural monuments around the world turn off their illumination.
The “Earth Hour” movement is symbolic and is intended to draw attention to the necessity of a responsible attitude to the nature and resources of the planet.
You can also take part in the action by shutting down the electricity in your house for exactly one hour from 20.30 to 21.30.
This is a small contribution of each individually, but all together it turns out tangible benefits for our planet. Let’s save our planet together!
