ICT in medical higher education: simulators and robotics

On 21 February 2019, Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) took part in the first international conference on “ICT in medical higher education: simulators and robotics”, which was held at the Tashkent State Dental Institute.

The objective of the international conference is to study the scientific capacity of local young scientists and inventors, as well as providing them with support in the implementation of innovative projects that can replace foreign technologies and developments.

Particular attention has been devoted to the topic of increasing the influence of higher education institutions, research centers and enterprises in the field of international competition through the integration of national and international universities in various directions, as well as the development of public-private partnership.

Invited guests, including the Vice-Rector for Youth Policy at Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) Turdimurat Tursunmuratov made presentations and lectures. Also, topics were brought up about the role of ICT in the education system, the relevance of medicine and technology: the demands of the time, 3D simulators in dental education, prospects for production of robots in Uzbekistan and robotics in medicine.

Within the framework of the conference, students of Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) demonstrated their innovative projects which will further contribute to improving the quality of life of the population and the development of the country as a whole.
