International workshop was held at Inha University in Tashkent

On December 2, 2021, an international workshop was held at Inha University in Tashkent on the topic: “The Impact of the Internet and Social Media on the Youth.”

This event was organized in cooperation with the Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports of the Senate of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of the Ministry of Innovative Development, UNICEF, the Institute for the Study of Youth Problems, the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan, the Agency for Information and Mass Communications.

The main theme of this event was “The Impact of the Internet and Social Media on the Youth”. Also at the workshop, the following topics were raised: “Digital youth of Uzbekistan: trends, prospects”; “Risks and threats of cyber socialization: why the Internet is dangerous in the 21st century”; “The opinion of young people on the positive impact of the Internet”; “Values and interests of young people in virtual social networks”.

The round table was attended by  Diloram Tashmukhamedova – Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports of the Senate of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan,Nargiza Alikulova – Press and Information Advisor to the Delegation of the European Union in Uzbekistan, Muzaffar Djalalov – Rector of Inha University in Tashkent, Turdimurat Tursunmuratov – Vice-Rector for Youth Policy of Inha University in Tashkent, Shim Minsan – professor INHA University (South Korea), Gulnar Djumaeva – expert of Inha University in Tashkent, Madina Mirsalikhova – 4th year student of the Singapore Institute for Management Development in Tashkent, Azizbek Azizov –  3rd year student of Inha University in Tashkent, Odiljon Isakov – 1st year student of Inha University in Tashkent, as well as scientists, experts, representatives of ministries and departments, the Youth Union, journalists and students. Foreign professors from INHA University (South Korea) and the Youth Parliament of the Republic of Uzbekistan performed as online participants.
