1. Topic of the event: “The role of Korean studies in the joint development of the Republic of Korea and Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan)”

* Sub-Topics: «Hallyu» and Korean Culture, Korean Language Education and Research, International Exchange and Cooperation.

(may change depending on the situation with the coronavirus COVID-19)

* Outside Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (including abroad), participation will take place online.

<<Preparation for a scientific conference>>

1) Preparation period: 10/15/2021 – 11/15/2021

① Preliminary team-led training

② Preparation of materials for each team

3) Online lecture by specialists.

① Conducting online lectures by specialists to increase the level of understanding of the topic of the reports

      – Participants: all speakers and their supervisors.

② 5 lectures by specialists: 15 October 2021 – 15 November 2021

      – Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Lee Wonjae

      – Director of the Center for Korean Studies at the Korea Institute of Central Asia, Professor Peck Te Hen

      – Expert by invitation from Korea: Director of the Center “Institute of Central Asian Studies” at the Hanguk University of Foreign Languages of the Republic of Korea, Professor Son Yong Hoon

– Expert by invitation from Korea: Principal Investigator of the Institute of Central Asian Studies, Professor Kim Sung In (Former Executive Director of the Secretariat of the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum)

       – Rector of the Korean Institute in Central Asia Sherikulova Minara Anarbekovna

* Each team of students : $ 200

<<Requirements for the presentation of the report>>

1) Structure of the report: compulsory preparation in PPT format (MS Power Point), presentation of each team (participant) – less than 15 minutes.

2) Languages of the report: Korean, English, Russian – optional

3) The ceremony of awarding the best speakers will take place on the day of the conference – 5 teams

<<Requirements for the design of articles>>

1) To publish into the collection of articles, you must draw up a report in the form of an article and submit it from November 11 to 15, 2021.

2) The language of the article to choose – Korean, English, Russian

① Russian / English: Times New Roman, font size 11, line spacing – single

② Korean language: Batang, font size 10, line spacing – single

③ Number of pages: about 10 pages
