IUT School of Business Administration and Logistics Associate Professor, Dr. Valijon Turakulov,  represented the university at the 2026 Korea Trade Research Association (KTRA) Spring International Conference, held on April 17 in Seoul, Korea.

Together with co-author Dr. Ikbol Kasimov, they presented the paper “Trade Gravity and Regional Integration: Estimating the Export Effects of Eurasian Economic Union Membership”, which applies a gravity model framework to evaluate how EAEU membership shapes member states’ export performance, offering empirical insights relevant to Uzbekistan’s regional trade strategy.

Beyond the conference, Dr. Turakulov delivered a talk at the World Association of Youth of Uzbekistan seminar, addressing practical pathways for pursuing a PhD in Korea and building a sustainable academic career back in Uzbekistan. He also visited the Chuncheon Uzbek Community, meeting with students and sharing guidance on academic and professional development abroad.
