​​The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development held a seminar at IUT

On March 4, a seminar of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development was held at Inha University in Tashkent.
Welcoming speeches were delivered by Deputy Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications Djamol Makhsudov, Head of the EBRD Office in Uzbekistan Alkis Vryenios Drakinos, Rector of Inha University in Tashkent Muzaffar Djalalov, President of the Strategic Center StrategEast Anatoly Motkin.

The presentation of the EBRD’s Transition Report 2021-2022: Upgrading the System: Achieving the Digital Dividend was briefed by Ms. Zsoka Koczan, Senior Economist, EBRD’s Transition Impact and Global Economy, and Mr. Eric Livni, Lead Regional Economist for Central Asia EBRD. In the report, the speakers highlighted the challenges faced by countries developing a digital future, and also highlighted the opportunities by which it is possible to even catch up with more developed countries.
Further, a panel discussion of experts took place on economic indicators and Uzbekistan’s readiness for digital technologies. The President of the Strategic Center StrategEast Anatoly Motkin, the founder of the Research Support Center Aliya Ospanova and Deputy Director of IT-Park Bakhodir Ayupov took part in it.
The event provided ample opportunities for networking.
