Elections of deputies held in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, on December 22, elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local advice of people’s deputies. At IUT building, was organize polling station No. 146, in which 1,142 voters voted.
For the first time, five political parties took part in them: the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP), the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU), the Democratic Party Milliy Tiklanish (National Revival), the Social Democratic Party Adolat (Justice) “) and the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan. Each party nominated 150 candidates, corresponding to the number of constituencies.
According to preliminary data turnout of the population was 71.1%. In total, 13 million 355 thousand 911 out of 18 million 797 thousand 810 registered voters voted at 10,260 polling stations in the country. The highest rates were note in Karakalpakstan and Kashkadarya region – 75.4%, the lowest voter turnout was in Tashkent – 60.8%.
