Security Trends Central Asia 2019

Inha University in Tashkent hosted the conference “Security Trends Central Asia 2019” on the 23rd of April, 2019. 

The company’s specialists told about modern methods and techniques of cyber defense at enterprises and organizations, and also discussed the problems of the industry.

This conference is holding the first time and intended to become an annual forum, a discussion platform for discussing cybersecurity issues between government organizations, commercial companies and solution developers. Also the discussion was attended by students of Inha University in Tashkent. The purpose of the event is to draw the attention of future specialists to raising awareness about trends in information security.

“Inha University in Tashkent is continuously working to improve both educational and research processes. It is important that university Alliance training programs are available for both students and teachers. Such an approach gives a multiplicative effect – colleagues can increase their competencies, while graduates are ready to work on real business cases from the moment of receiving diplomas, ”said Muzaffar Jalalov, acting Rector of Inha University in Tashkent.

“The regions of Central Asia today are experiencing a peak of digital transformation, in support of which Trend Micro, together with other major vendors, are initiating an annual forum dedicated to cybersecurity. Our task is to make it a key platform where future specialists will be able to communicate with market participants. It is no secret that worldwide there is personnel shortage in the field of information security. That is why we want to share practical experience with students while they are learning, and also to tell them about career prospects in this industry, ” -said German Regional Director for Trend Micro in the CIS, Mongolia and Georgia, Mr. German Pozankov.

“Today, enterprises and government agencies operate in a dynamic information environment where the nature of cyber threats is constantly changing. With the rise of targeted cyber attacks and modern threats, it has become clear that information security requires joint efforts to develop an integrated approach to data protection, ”added Mr. Nurbek Rakhimov, Trend Micro Regional Manager for Central Asia.

At the conference, the speakers discussed topics such as: protection of workstations, cyber threats in 2019, modern data center protection, protection against targeted attacks and zero-day attacks, building SOC.
