Vice-rector of Inha University in Tashkent visited Jizzakh region

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 6, 2020 No. 4851 “On measures of further improvement of the education system in the field of information technology, the development and integration of scientific researches with the IT industry”, Inha University in Tashkent in 2020-2021 works in a tight cooperation with the regions. In this regard, on January 22 of this year, the vice-rector of the UIT T. Tursunmuratov visited Jizzakh region. One of the destinations was School 8 under UIT. During the meeting, T. Tursunmuratov held a master class for teachers to awaken schoolchildren’s interest in information technology and the English language. Also, UIT students living in Jizzakh, while communicating with schoolchildren, talked about the educational process of UIT, the achievements of students in the field of IT and university life. The students of the school declared that they are members of “One Million Coders”. The following issues were discussed: the provision of practical assistance by the university in improving the rating of schoolchildren for further education in the higher education institutions, vocational guidance, forming a base of curricula for the convenience of teachers.

In addition, a visit was made also to IT-Park in Jizzakh. The head of IT-Park J. Partasarti noted that the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan pays special attention to information technologies and communications, as well as the ongoing process of creating a separate IT-Park in each region. The IT-Park management emphasized that it is ready to cooperate with Inha University in Tashkent on permanent basis and is particularly interested in working with university students living in Jizzakh region.

The vice-rector also visited the “My Happy Home” orphanage under UIT in Jizzakh region, where 65 children live. During the conversation, it was noted that the Continuing Education Center of Inha University in Tashkent will conduct online classes for the orphanage children. On January 23, the vice-rector of IUT T. Tursunmuratov also visited school number 3 in the Yangiabad district of Jizzakh region, where he met with graduates and teachers.
